Answer Exam Question Papers on Mobile Phone
Most of the colleges and univer ban uses of mobile phone in the campus since it disrupts the process of learning but coming out of the box is Bangalore based Seshadripuram College in Yelahanka, Bangalore has some other thoughts and application of use of mobile in college premises.
Being called as IPOMO ‘Interactive Platform on Mobile‘ under which a same common model is provided to all teachers and students in which functions like games and messaging are disabled. Instead of taking attendance in register sheets the teachers uses this mobile to mark the attendance and return back the mobile to the authorities, the same with students while answering the question papers.
For a test, students are given a question paper which has multiple choice type questions, for which he/she need to provide the correct answer and then click on submit. The answers are then recorded on the server. For making attendance the teachers are assigned password and when its entered he/she needs to provide course, section and subject after which the names of the students under particular subjects are displayed and then marked by teachers.
This idea of the Seshadripuram College was introduced last year for BBM and BCA student and this year further extended to all other courses in the college. Now this makes a splash news online. Wonder if how many colleges in India would opt for such technology and use of mobile in college campus!
