YouTube Attempts to Resolve Hacking Issue

YouTube has been working on the debugging of the site in order to set it free from the traps of hackers who are exploiting the users.

The hackers are displaying pop-up messages, defaming the website. The hackers have positioned the code in the comment column, below the targeted videos. This code gets functional whenever the people watch the video.

In majority of the situations, the users came across pop-up windows saying the Canadian singer, Justin Bieber, had met with a car accident death.

Google has proclaimed that the issue was acknowledged and fixed within two hours of the detection of the problem.

"We took swift action to fix a cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability on youtube.com”, a spokesperson said

He added that the malicious comments were temporarily withdrawn; one hour after the problem was discovered. Following this, the situation was brought under the control of the YouTube officials.

The hackers utilized JavaScript code and HTML. Both of them are the most widely used web apps.

The safety officers told that the code has been misused by the hackers in most of the cases. They had not been utilized by the developers much extensively.
