Sony OLED Screen that can wrap around a Pencil
Who says a screen has to be flat or rectangular? The future of OLED is ultra thin, flexible, and can be wrapped around a 4mm cylinder.
Images can be displayed from this rolled-up screen revealed by Sony. Designers make this possible by taking out the rigid driver IC chips and incorporating organic thin-film transistors and OLED technology. With resolutions of 430 x 240 pixels, the display is nevertheless only developed as a prototype. The display measures 4.1 inches and is .2 mm thick. Super thin and flexible, the future of OLED will greatly transform the face of communication and entertainment in the future.
